LEWISTON — Firefighters were at the scene of a smoky fire at 154 Pine St. early Sunday morning.
The fire started on either the second or third floor and was "very, very smoky" when crews arrived, Lewiston police Lt. David St. Pierre said at the scene.
The call came in at 12:23 a.m., he said. By 1 a.m., the blaze was under control. All tenants of the large apartment building got out safely, St. Pierre said
