Porch fire in Lewiston

Lewiston firefighter Rob Watson uses a hand-held extinguisher to make sure a porch fire is out on Howe Street in Lewiston on Wednesday morning. When the call came in, firefighters were on Wood Street at another porch fire. Both fires were put out by residents or neighbors. Lewiston fire investigator Paul Ouellette examined both scenes and determined that each of the fires was caused by improper disposal of cigarettes.
